Cedar Bracket-Cover Planters

Where it started
Existing posts and exposed brackets defined the job. The covers needed to work around the real hardware and uneven placement, rather than assuming a perfectly centered post.
What took shape
Brian built cedar enclosures with openings around the brackets, removable floors and supporting cleats. The supplied photographs show the material, joinery and finished group.
What the work revealed
The useful measurements were the ones that described the obstruction and access, including an off-center post. Removable parts made that fit more practical.
The next step
For another installation, measure its actual brackets and clearances before adapting the design.
