Easter Tomb

A printed teaching model links a rolling stone and internal bed motion. Real assembly revealed a cord-routing problem now driving the next drum revision.

Inside the project

Tell the story through a moving model.

  1. Model the motion
  2. Print the parts
  3. Thread and assemble
  4. Test the revised drums

Where it started

This project explores a mechanical teaching model in which the movement carries part of the story, with a rolling stone and an internal moving bed.

What took shape

Printed supports, shafts and cord drums reached a partial physical assembly. Assembly research and a 3D viewer help explain how the parts are intended to work together.

What the work revealed

The cord hole barely met its groove, making threading difficult in the printed part. The correction focused on the two drums, adding clearer access and paired cord holes while preserving the rest of the mechanism.

The next step

Print and thread the replacement drums, then check the complete motion before treating the mechanism as finished.

An original development photo records the drum and cord-routing problem. The later replacement drums still needed a physical test.
