Where it started
Returning to an instrument is different from starting one. Brian wanted useful short sessions that rebuilt comfort and connected practice to the swing and Dixieland music he enjoys.
What took shape
The studio preserves separate clarinet and guitar paths. The return-to-clarinet work adds adjustable sessions, reviewable practice proposals and short check-ins that inform the next session.
What the work revealed
The application needs to respond to what the player reports now. An old difficulty should not keep dominating recommendations after later check-ins show improvement.
The next step
Use the sessions in practice and refine the proposals from real observations, with musical judgment kept in human hands.

Brian describes a working local learning application with independent Clarinet and Guitar curriculum packs. Clarinet coordinates lessons while preserving separate observations; Guitar supports self-directed practice with explicit evidence sources and stop conditions.
The owner-reported system includes a lesson compiler, review lifecycle and backups. Progress for one instrument or learner must not advance another. This public summary contains no learner records or private curriculum files.
Evidence before advancement.
Self-observation is labeled as self-observation. A generated lesson does not become accepted merely because software produced it, and technique-sensitive advancement can require qualified outside evidence. No automatic listening or technique-analysis capability is claimed here.
